Cerec Milling Unit

We believe that restoring your smile should be a simple process. Our Carmel Valley dentist uses the CEREC in-office milling to create crowns, onlays, inlays, and fixed bridges in just one visit. Avoid multiple trips and let CEREC same day dentistry get you back to your routine and smiling.

Crowns

Dental crowns are porcelain restorations that cover up or “cap” natural teeth, restoring them to their original size and strength. Well-made crown blend in seamlessly with the rest of the smile, ensuring patients regain the natural look of their smile. In addition to restoring strength, function, and appearance, crowns help seal out bacteria and improve oral health.

Inlays

A more conservative solution than crowns, dental inlays are an indirect restoration ideal for replacing old, deteriorated fillings. At Carmel Heights Dentistry, Dr. Garcia uses CEREC technology to design and manufacture porcelain inlays in just one visit. Best of all, this restoration is strong and made to match your tooth.

Onlays

Not all dental emergencies require a crown. Same day onlays by Dr. Garcia provide patients with a more substantial restoration than an inlay or filling yet require less preparation than a dental crown. Made using CEREC same-day technology, patients can come in for emergency care and leave with a beautiful new smile.

Bridges

A fixed bridge is designed for teeth replacement for those that have been lost. Bridges are custom made tooth substitutes that get placed in your mouth to literally bridge the gap. Aside from the obvious impacts of missing teeth on personal appearance and mastication (chewing), there are other serious concerns. Without replacing missing teeth, the normal pressure of chewing can stress the remaining teeth and cause them to shift out of alignment, increasing risk of damage and resulting in difficulty with chewing.

What are Crowns & Bridges Made of?

Dr. Garcia is passionate about providing patients with the best care possible. In addition to using the latest technology available, our Carmel Valley dentist uses the highest quality materials available. Dental crowns and fixed bridges are usually made of porcelain for optimum appearance and may contain an inner layer of gold alloy for strength. Crowns or bridges made entirely of gold alloy may be more advantageous on back molars that do not require porcelain for appearance.
